Caviar extracts can be incorporated into shampoos and other hair products. The extract’s presence does not, on its own, demonstrate faster growth, reduced hair loss, dandruff treatment, permanent straightening or repair of the hair fibre.

A shampoo’s cleansing, lather, rinsing and feel depend on its complete formula. Ingredients used for cleansing are combined with ingredients selected for texture and softness.

Which hair products can contain caviar?

Shampoos, conditioners and salon treatments may feature caviar extracts, but they do not all have the same purpose. A rinse-off shampoo should not be assumed to have the effects of a leave-on treatment or a straightening procedure.

Black caviar in facial skincare

Research into caviar extracts has explored mechanisms associated with skin aging. An extract studied in a cell model is not the same as a finished cream used by a person. The nature of the extract, concentration, stability and formula must be considered.

In NERO Anti-Aging Face Cream and Aftershave Balm, black caviar and brown algae accompany a base containing ingredients such as shea butter, jojoba oil and grape seed oil. The products are intended for daily facial care or comfort after shaving, with distinct uses and textures.
